The First Church- Everyone Has Something To Do

Overview

Many Jews were becoming Christians in Jerusalem. Needy widows were given food every day but some were being left out. Instead of neglecting their teaching and preaching time to take care of this food problem, the apostles asked the Christians to choose seven faithful men to take care of the widows. These servants are often referred to as the first deacons in the church.
